Azio Mechanical Keyboard Unboxing

Azio Mechanical Keyboard Unboxing

Hi everyone! I’m back with another video. In this video we are unboxing the Azio Retro Classic  mechanical keyboard & some matching accessories. If you saw my current desk setup video I swapped out the old keyboard I had for this one. Now, here is the unboxing. I hope you enjoy the video.

I actually purchased this keyboard a few years ago, but I never got around to unboxing and actually using it. Since I’ve been working from home and improving my workspace, I am finally going to put this keyboard to use. If you want to see more of my workspace improvements make sure to follow me on Instagram, I post regularly as @_artemis.exe or subscribe to my YT channel.

Typing Test

I included a short typing test so you can hear how the keyboard sounds. The switches are really clicky and tactile. In my opinion, it really does sound like an old typewriter, especially the space bar. I thought the sound would be annoying because it’s a bit noisy, but I actually enjoy typing on this keyboard. I have been trying to improve my typing speed and accuracy. I did a few typing exercises with this after having used the other Logitech for typing practice and I do find it a bit difficult with these keys.

Accessories

I also picked up the matching mouse, wrist rest and mousepad, I really am loving how it all looks on my desk.

Current Setup

The mouse is Bluetooth or wifi connection with a rechargeable battery. I actually ended up not using the mouse. I’m not a huge fan of wireless stuff because I hate when the battery just dies in the middle of something important… Also, I haven’t figured out how to connect with the wifi option… My desktop doesn’t have Bluetooth so wifi is the only option. I also haven’t put a lot of effort to getting the connection either.

Overall Thoughts

The round keys take getting used to. At this point I’ve been using the keyboard for over a month. I definitely feel like my fingers are a bit off from hitting the keys. The travel distance is farther than my old logic tech and I have to push the keys down harder. I’ve gotten more used to it, but I still make a lot of typos. It’s so much fun to type on though! For Christmas I did receive a new mechanical keyboard with linear switches. I’ll be swapping out to use that one and showing you the unboxing very soon!

Overall it’s a beautiful keyboard and It’s very nicely made. I’ve read some complaints about it looking cheap but I don’t feel this way at all, in my opinion it look like a a good quality keyboard.

I’m not sure if I would keep this as my main keyboard, I’ll use it for a few days and see.  I really love  how it looks.  So aesthetically pleasing.

In the future, I would like to buy one to modify or build one myself. What did you think about the sound test on the keyboard? Do you like the clicky switches? I think each type is nice, although the soft smooth linear switches really have a soothing sound.
